Keith Ingersoll

I began my financial service career in 1986. In 1989 I obtained my securities license so that I could help my clients with financial planning and investments. I received a LUTCF designation after years of study in personal, property, health and business insurance planning. This broad range of knowledge and skill enables me to understand a client’s whole situation.

I spent 15 years at one of the nation’s largest firms and became the office senior advisor. I now own my own agency. This allows me to best work in the marketplace for my clients’ needs and not the needs of any one company. I have worked with over 2,000 clients in my career.

My approach to retirees is simple, watch out for risk: The time to focus on accumulation as the priority has passed, and the need to protect and preserve is foremost.

Raised in Kalamazoo, Mich., I spent my youth active in outdoor sports and was a Boy Scout. I still love the outdoors, and love fishing and hunting.

I moved to Las Vegas, Nev., in the early ‘70s and was fortunate to work at Caesars Palace in guest room services for over 10 years. I had a grand time working with all the headline entertainers from the ‘60s, ‘70s and mid ‘80s. In Nevada, I also spent time on the Mt. Charleston Volunteer Fire Department as a firefighter.

I married my wife Lola 40 years ago and we have two children who are now married and have given us two beautiful grandchildren. We all relocated to Idaho in 1997 and have fallen in love with the people and the state. Thirteen years ago, my beloved Lola passed away. Six years ago, I remarried, and my wife Jan and I are proud that we continue to make Idaho our home.
